Handmade Stoneware Bowl – Lichen Glaze

Description

Another of my experimental stoneware bowls, hand-thrown in my Cornwall studio.

Finished in a creamy white glaze with iron and chrome oxides sponged onto the surface to create a mottled, lichen-like effect.

This is a substantial bowl, with a good bit of weight to it and a solid, sturdy feel. The proportions work well, making it a useful size for serving or simply having on display.

The oxide decoration is applied by hand, so each bowl has its own individual pattern and finish.

Approximately 8¾ inches wide × 3 inches high.
